EATING FRUIT…

We all think eating fruits means just buying fruits, cutting it and just popping it into our mouths. It’s not as easy as you think. It’s important to know how and when to eat.

What is the correct way of eating fruits?

IT MEANS NOT EATING FRUITS AFTER YOUR MEALS! * FRUITS SHOULD BE EATEN ON AN EMPTY STOMACH.

If you eat fruit like that, it will play a major role to detoxify your system, supplying you with a great deal of energy for weight loss and other life activities.

FRUIT IS THE MOST IMPORTANT FOOD. Let’s say you eat two slices of bread and then a slice of fruit. The slice of fruit is ready to go straight through the stomach into the intestines, but it is prevented from doing so.

In the meantime the whole meal rots and ferments and turns to acid. The minute the fruit comes into contact with the food in the stomach and digestive juices, the entire mass of food begins to spoil…..

So please eat your fruits on an empty stomach or before your meals! You have heard people complaining – every time I eat watermelon I burp, when I eat during my stomach bloats up, when I eat a banana I feel like running to the toilet etc – actually all this will not arise if you eat the fruit on an empty stomach. The fruit mixes with the putrefying other food and produces gas and hence you will bloat!

Graying hair, balding, nervous outburst, and dark circles under the eyes all these will NOT happen if you take fruits on an empty stomach.

There is no such thing as some fruits, like orange and lemon are acidic, because all fruits become alkaline in our body, according to Dr. Herbert Shelton who did research on this matter.  If you have mastered the correct way of eating fruits, you have the Secret of beauty, longevity, health, energy, happiness and normal weight.

When you need to drink fruit juice – drink only fresh fruit juice, NOT from the cans. Don’t even drink juice that has been heated up. Don’t eat cooked fruits because you don’t get the nutrients at all. You only get to taste. Cooking destroys all the vitamins.

But eating a whole fruit is better than drinking the juice. If you should drink the juice, drink it mouthful by mouthful slowly, because you must let it mix with your saliva before swallowing it. You can go on a 3-day fruit fast to cleanse your body. Just eat fruits and drink fruit juice throughout the 3 days and you will be surprised when your friends tell you how radiant you look!

KIWI: Tiny but mighty. This is a good source of potassium, magnesium, vitamin E & fiber.. Its vitamin C content is twice that of an orange.

Dr. Mercola Speaks Out About Dangers Of Flu Vaccination

The following is another article written by Dr. Mercola in which he adamantly and continually warns against taking the current flu vaccination. According to him, the shot itself is much more dangerous than the flu itself. Here’s his latest warning to date:

Signs and Symptoms of Influenza

As most of you probably know, influenza is a contagious viral respiratory infection. Symptoms include:

  • Fever
  • Chills
  • Runny nose
  • Sore throat
  • Cough
  • Muscle aches
  • Fatigue
  • Decreased appetite

Typically, the condition will improve after two to three days of bed rest, although some symptoms may persist for about a week.

What many people do NOT know, however, is that death caused directly by the flu virus is very rare. The vast majority of so-called “flu deaths” are in fact due to bacterial pneumonia – a potential complication of the flu if your immune system is too weak.

Other complications can include ear- or sinus infections, dehydration, and worsening of chronic health conditions.

The elderly and people with other pre existing medical conditions such as asthma, diabetes, or heart disease, are at higher risk of developing pneumonia after a bout of the flu.

The Flu Vaccine Does Not Prevent the Flu, nor Protect Against the Vast Majority of Flu-Related Deaths

The conventional treatment for bacterial pneumonia is an antibiotic, not a viral flu drug, so to think that taking a flu vaccine will prevent death from pneumonia doesn’t really make sense.

“But the vaccine will prevent the flu, which will prevent the possibility of developing pneumonia,” some might say.

That sounds good in theory, but the statistics simply do not support this assertion.

Because study after study, and master studies that compile the results from several studies to get a more objective result, keep coming to the same conclusion: Flu vaccines DO NOT WORK, and in many cases do more harm than good.

In fact, one shocking statistic brought to light in this video is that BEFORE the CDC advocated vaccinating children under the age of five, the number of children dying from the flu was very low, and on the decline.

Then, in 2003, just after children aged five and under started getting vaccinated, the number of flu deaths SKYROCKETED. The death toll was enormous compared to the previous year, when the flu vaccine was not administered en masse to that age group!

How anyone can consider a strategy that yields a higher death toll to be a “success” is a mystery to me.

The Problem with Flu Death Statistics

However, as frightening as much of this may sound, it’s important to keep things in perspective. According to the statistics shown in the video above, more Americans die from asthma, and even malnutrition each year, than the flu.

Unfortunately, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) grossly distort the facts about flu deaths, making the flu virus seem far more dangerous than is warranted. On the CDC’s main flu page, they state that about 36,000 people die from the flu in the United States each year.

But if you search a little harder, you can find the actual number of people who died from the flu in 2005 (this is the most recent data that’s available) was 1,806. The remainder was caused by pneumonia. In 2004, there were just 1,100 actual flu deaths.

The statistics the CDC gives are skewed partly because they classify those dying from pneumonia as dying from the flu, which is inaccurate.

How is the Flu Vaccine Made?

This is another area that many people do not understand or take into consideration before getting a seasonal flu shot.

In January or February of each year, health authorities travel to Asia to determine which strains of the flu are currently active. Based on their findings in Asia, they assume that the same strains of viruses will spread to the U.S. by fall.

At this point, U.S. vaccine manufacturers start making that season’s flu vaccine, which will contain the strains found in Asia. However, if the viral strains circulating in the U.S. that season are not identical to those in Asia, the vaccine you receive is a complete dud.

And to add insult to injury, you’ve just been injected with a laundry list of harmful ingredients.

What’s in the Seasonal Flu Vaccine?

The flu strains selected are cultivated in chick embryos for several weeks before being inactivated with formaldehyde, which is a known cancer-causing agent. Then they’re preserved with thimerosal, which is 49 percent mercury by weight.

Even many health care professionals are confused about this and are not aware that the preservative thimerosal is mercury. As a quick side note, one of my chief writers told me that, “the doctor’s office told me the vaccine does not contain mercury, just something called thimerosal.”

Please, don’t be fooled by this incredible ignorance. If you have carefully studied this issue there is a great possibility you may know more than your physician about this topic. Don’t back down if they tell you something you otherwise know to be true.

According to the CDC, the majority of flu vaccines contain thimerosal. Some contain as much as 25 mcg of mercury per dose. This means that it may contain more than 250 times the Environmental Protection Agency’s safety limit for mercury.

By now, most people are well aware that children and fetuses are most at risk of damage from this neurotoxin, as their brains are still developing. Yet the CDC still recommends that children over 6 months, and pregnant women, receive the flu vaccine each year.

In addition to mercury, flu vaccines also contain other toxic or hazardous ingredients like:

  • Aluminum — a neurotoxin that has been linked to Alzheimer’s disease
  • Triton X-100 — a detergent
  • Phenol (carbolic acid)
  • Ethylene glycol (antifreeze)
  • Betapropiolactone – a disinfectant
  • Nonoxynol – used to kill or stop growth of STDs
  • Octoxinol 9 – a vaginal spermicide
  • Sodium phosphate

How Safe is the Flu Vaccine?

Serious reactions to the flu vaccine include, but are not limited to:

  • Life-threatening allergies to various ingredients
  • Guillain-Barre Syndrome (a severe paralytic disease that is fatal in about 1 in 20 cases)
  • Encephalitis (brain inflammation)
  • Neurological disorders
  • Thrombocytopenia (a serious blood disorder)

How Effective is the Flu Vaccine?

Remember that the potential effectiveness of a flu vaccine is dependent on the ASSUMPTION, made nearly a year in advance, that Asia’s viral strains will be the ones hitting the U.S. When they guess wrong, the vaccine is worthless from the very start.

But does that mean they withdraw the flu vaccine when they discover it contains the wrong strains? NO! They just keep giving it out anyway.

But even if they were to overcome that hurdle and actually select the correct strains, there’s still no evidence that it does anyone any good to get a flu vaccine.

Study after study comes back showing the same dismal results: the flu vaccines are not an effective method of prevention of the flu, and they do not save lives. As mentioned earlier, they may even be responsible for an increased death rate in some groups.

Sometimes determining efficacy is as easy as reading the information coming straight from the vaccine manufacturer.

How about this quote taken directly from the flu vaccine FLULAVAL’s package insert (which you likely never see when getting the flu shot) for the 2009-2010 formula:

” FLULAVAL is an influenza virus vaccine indicated for active immunization of adults 18 years of age and older against influenza disease caused by influenza virus subtypes A and type B contained in the vaccine. This indication is based on immune response elicited by FLULAVAL, and there have been no controlled trials demonstrating a decrease in influenza disease after vaccination with FLULAVAL.”

 That’s right, NO controlled trials demonstrating ANY decrease in your risk of contracting the flu at all after vaccination! (It also states that each dose contains a total of 25 mcg of mercury.)

For those of you who are still unconvinced, know that there’s plenty of scientific evidence available to back up the recommendation to avoid flu vaccines. In addition to studies mentioned in the video, here are several other examples showing that flu vaccines do not work for any age group:

  • A study published in the October 2008 issue of the Archives of Pediatric & Adolescent Medicine found that vaccinating young children against the flu had no impact on flu-related hospitalizations or doctor visits during two recent flu seasons.

The researchers concluded that “significant influenza vaccine effectiveness could not be demonstrated for any season, age, or setting” examined.

  • A 2008 study published in the Lancet found that influenza vaccination was NOT associated with a reduced risk of pneumonia in older people.

This supports an earlier study, published in The New England Journal of Medicine.

  • Research published in the American Journal of Respiratory and Critical Care Medicine also confirms that there has been no decrease in deaths from influenza and pneumonia in the elderly, despite the fact that vaccination coverage among the elderly has increased from 15 percent in 1980 to 65 percent now.
  • In 2007, researchers with the National Institute of Allergy and Infectious

Diseases, and the National Institutes of Health published this conclusion in the Lancet Infectious Diseases: “We conclude that frailty selection bias and use of non-specific endpoints such as all-cause mortality,have led cohort studies to greatly exaggerate vaccine benefits.”

  • A large-scale, systematic review of 51 studies, published in the Cochrane Database of Systematic Reviews in 2006, found no evidence that the flu vaccine is any more effective than a placebo in children. The studies involved 260,000 children, age 6 to 23 months.

Last but not least, I think it says a lot that 70 percent of doctors and nurses, and 62 percent of other health care workers do NOT get the yearly flu shot.

The reasons why they opted to not get vaccinated were:

  • They didn’t believe the vaccine would work
  • They believed their immune systems were strong enough to withstand exposure to the flu
  • They were concerned about side effects

Might Influenza be Little More Than a Symptom of Vitamin D Deficiency?

Vitamin D, “the sunshine vitamin,” may very well be one of the most beneficial vitamins there is for disease prevention. Unfortunately it’s also one of the vitamins that a vast majority of people across the world are deficient in due to lack of regular exposure to sunshine.

Published in the journal Epidemiology and Infection in 2006, the hypothesis presented by Dr. John Cannell and colleagues in the paper Epidemic Influenza and Vitamin D raises the possibility that influenza is a symptom of vitamin D deficiency.

The vitamin D formed when your skin is exposed to sunlight regulates the expression of more than 2,000 genes throughout your body, including ones that influence your immune system to attack and destroy bacteria and viruses. Hence, being overwhelmed by the “flu bug” could signal that your vitamin D levels are too low, allowing the flu virus to overtake your immune system.

At least five studies show an inverse association between lower respiratory tract infections and 25(OH)D levels. That is, the higher your vitamin D level, the lower your risk of contracting colds, flu, and other respiratory tract infections:

  1. A 2007 study suggests higher vitamin D status enhances your immunity to microbial infections. They found that subjects with vitamin D deficiency had significantly more days of absence from work due to respiratory infection than did control subjects.
  2. A 2009 study on vitamin D deficiency in newborns with acute lower respiratory infection (ALRI) confirmed a strong, positive correlation between newborns’ and mother’s vitamin D levels. Over 87 percent of all newborns and over 67 percent of all mothers had vitamin D levels lower than 20 ng/ml, which is a severe deficiency state.

Newborns with vitamin D deficiency appear to have an increased risk of developing ALRI, and since the child’s vitamin D level strongly correlates with its mother’s, the researchers recommend that all mothers’ optimize their vitamin D levels during pregnancy, especially in the winter months, to safeguard their baby’s health.

  1. A similar Indian study published in 2004 also reported that vitamin D deficiency in infants significantly raised their odds ratio for having severe ALRI.
  2. A 2009 analysis of the Third National Health andNutrition Examination Survey examined the association between vitamin D levelsand recent upper respiratory tract infection (URTI) in nearly 19,000 subjects over the age of 12.

    Recent URTI was reported by:

    • 17 percent of participants with vitamin D levels of 30ng/ml or higher
    • 20 percent of participants with vitamin D levels between 10-30 ng/ml.
    • 24 percent of participants with vitamin D levels below 10ng/ml

    The positive correlation between lower vitamin D levels and increased risk of URTI was even stronger in individuals with asthma and chronic obstructive pulmonary disease.

  3. Another 2009 report in the journal Pediatric Research stated that infants and children appear more susceptible to viral rather than bacterial infections when deficient in vitamin D. And that, based on the available evidence showing a strong connection between vitamin D, infections, and immune function in children, vitamin D supplementation may be a valuable therapy in pediatric medicine.

How to Prevent the Flu without Getting a Flu Shot

For most people the flu shot does not make you healthy; it does just the opposite and weakens your immune system.

Here’s as good of an article that I’ve read on Sunlight recently written by Mike Adams. This is a review to most BW people, but new info to many of my other readers, so bare with me. It’s official: Vitamin D deficiency is so widespread in U.S. children that it poses a huge threat to the future health of an entire generation. A new study published in the journal Pediatrics paints a disturbing picture of vitamin D deficiency across the population of children aged 1 through 21. Three-fourths of young African American children, for example, are deficient in vitamin D. Much the same pattern holds true for Mexican American children. Even white kids, with their fairer skin and greater vitamin D production, hit the charts with 50% – 60% deficiency, depending on the age group.

Of course, in classic medical doublespeak style, health researchers don’t actually call it “deficiency.” (Because that would trigger a whole new urgency to correct the problem.) Instead, they call it “vitamin D insufficiency,” while reserving the term “deficiency” for children who have virtually no vitamin D in their blood whatsoever.

Of course, “insufficient” means “deficient” in the real world, since kids who are now labeled as “insufficient” in vitamin D are, of course, actually quite deficient in the nutrient. And keep in mind that these frighteningly common vitamin D deficiencies exist even when the accepted standards of vitamin D levels in the blood are artificially low to begin with. If you use real numbers of the vitamin D levels required for peak human performance, the truth is that as many as 90 percent of U.S. children are chronically deficient in vitamin D.

“It’s astounding,” said Michal L. Melamed of the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in New York, in a Washington Post report (source below). “At first, we couldn’t believe the numbers. I think it’s very worrisome.”

But why are American kids so deficient in vitamin D in the first place?Sunlight deficiency is now at epidemic levels.

The answer, of course, is because kids are sunlight deficient. And that’s due to a few reasons: First, too many kids today spend most of their hours in front of computers, televisions or gaming consoles. The live almost like vampires, staying awake all night, sleeping during the day, living off the flesh of other creatures (beef jerky and hamburgers…).

Many of their parents, too, are part of the problem. Today’s moms seem terrified that their kids might actually experience “the outdoors” for more than a few moments. They wait with air-conditioned cars at the school bus stops, then hustle their kids into pre-cooled cars to drive the quarter mile back to their artificially air-conditioned homes. Sunlight almost never touches these kids (they might turn to dust).

The sunscreen industry also shares some blame in all this, as it thrives on the silly idea that sunlight is bad for children and that all kids need to be smothered in sunscreen lotions before venturing outdoors. (Of course, they never admit their own sunscreen products are filled with cancer-causing chemicals in the first place…)

Above all, the medical establishment is to blame for vitamin D deficiency. Rather than teaching parents and children about the importance of vitamin D, they seem to have declared a blackout on most useful information about the nutrient, preferring instead to prescribe toxic pharmaceutical drugs to treat the symptoms of vitamin D deficiency. Osteoporosis drugs, in particular, are made virtually obsolete by vitamin D alone. That’s why you don’t see any drug companies talking about vitamin D — it would destroy osteoporosis drug sales!

Why Vitamin D deficiency is big business for Big Pharma.

The entire “sick care” industry (including Big Pharma) actually depends on widespread nutritional deficiencies in order to create repeat business. Vitamin D deficiency, of course, figures prominently in this equation: It promotes cancer, bone loss, obesity, depression and heart disease. It’s no coincidence that these are some of the biggest profit earners for drug companies.

The Swine Flu Vaccine’s Dirty Little Secret Exposed

According to Kathleen Sebelius, Secretary of the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services, your children should be the first target for mass swine flu vaccinations when school starts this fall.[i]

This is a ridiculous assumption for many reasons, not to mention extremely high risk.

In Australia, where the winter season has begun, Federal Health Minister Nicola Roxon is reassuring parents the swine flu is no more dangerous than regular seasonal flu. “Most people, including children, will experience very mild symptoms and recover without any medical intervention,” she said.[ii]

Sydney-based immunization specialist Robert Booy predicts swine flu might be fatal to about twice as many children in the coming year as regular influenza. Booy estimates 10-12 children could die from the H1N1 virus, compared with the five or six regular flu deaths seen among children in an average year in Australia.[iii]

“Cure the Disease, Kill the Patient”

Less than 100 children in the U.S. die each year from seasonal flu viruses.[iv] If we use Australia’s math, a very rough estimate would be another 100 children could potentially die of swine flu in the United States in the coming year.

If children are the first target group in the U.S. per Sebelius, that means we’re about to inject around 75 million children with a fast tracked vaccine containing novel adjuvants, including dangerous squalene, to prevent perhaps 100 deaths.

I’m not overlooking the tragedy of the loss of even one child to an illness like the H1N1 flu virus. But there can be no argument that unnecessary mass injection of millions of children with a vaccine containing an adjuvant known to cause a host of debilitating autoimmune diseases is a reckless, dangerous plan.

Why are Vaccinations Dangerous?

The presumed intent of a vaccination is to help you build immunity to potentially harmful organisms that cause illness and disease. However, your body’s immune system is already designed to do this in response to organisms which invade your body naturally.

Most disease-causing organisms enter your body through the mucous membranes of your nose, mouth, pulmonary system or your digestive tract – not through an injection.

These mucous membranes have their own immune system, called the IgA immune system. It is a different system from the one activated when a vaccine is injected into your body.

Your IgA immune system is your body’s first line of defense. Its job is to fight off invading organisms at their entry points, reducing or even eliminating the need for activation of your body’s immune system.

When a virus is injected into your body in a vaccine, and especially when combined with an immune adjuvant like squalene, your IgA immune system is bypassed and your body’s immune system kicks into high gear in response to the vaccination.

Injecting organisms into your body to provoke immunity is contrary to nature, and vaccination carries enormous potential to do serious damage to your health.

And as if Vaccines Weren’t Dangerous Enough on Their Own …

… imagine them turbocharged.

The main ingredient in a vaccine is either killed viruses or live ones that have been attenuated (weakened and made less harmful).

Flu vaccines can also contain a number of chemical toxins, including ethylene glycol (antifreeze), formaldehyde, phenol (carbolic acid) and even antibiotics like Neomycin and streptomycin.

In addition to the viruses and other additives, many vaccines also contain immune adjuvants like aluminum and squalene.

The purpose of an immune adjuvant added to a vaccine is to enhance (turbo charge) your immune response to the vaccination. Adjuvants cause your immune system to overreact to the introduction of the organism you’re being vaccinated against.

Adjuvants are supposed to get the job done faster (but certainly not more safely), which reduces the amount of vaccine required per dose, and the number of doses given per individual.

Less vaccine required per person means more individual doses available for mass vaccination campaigns. Coincidentally, this is exactly the goal of government and the pharmaceutical companies who stand to make millions from their vaccines.

Will There Be Immune Adjuvants in Swine Flu Vaccines?

 The U.S. government has contracts with several drug companies to develop and produce swine flu vaccines. At least two of those companies, Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline, are using an adjuvant in their H1N1 vaccines.

The adjuvant? Squalene.

According to Meryl Nass, M.D., an authority on the anthrax vaccine,

“A novel feature of the two H1N1 vaccines being developed by companies Novartis and GlaxoSmithKline is the addition of squalene-containing adjuvants to boost immunogenicity and dramatically reduce the amount of viral antigen needed. This translates to much faster production of desired vaccine quantities.”[v]

Novartis’s proprietary squalene adjuvant for their H1N1 vaccine is MF59. Glaxo’s is ASO3. MF59 has yet to be approved by the FDA for use in any U.S. vaccine, despite its history of use in other countries.

Per Dr. Nass, there are only three vaccines in existence using an approved squalene adjuvant. None of the three are approved for use in the U.S.

What Squalene Does to Rats

 Oil-based vaccination adjuvants like squalene have been proved to generate concentrated, unremitting immune responses over long periods of time.[vi]

A 2000 study published in the American Journal of Pathology demonstrated a single injection of the adjuvant squalene into rats triggered “chronic, immune-mediated joint-specific inflammation,” also known as rheumatoid arthritis.[vii]

The researchers concluded the study raised questions about the role of adjuvants in chronic inflammatory diseases.

What Squalene Does to Humans

Your immune system recognizes squalene as an oil molecule native to your body. It is found throughout your nervous system and brain. In fact, you can consume squalene in olive oil and not only will your immune system recognize it, you will also reap the benefits of its antioxidant properties.

The difference between “good” and “bad” squalene is the route by which it enters your body. Injection is an abnormal route of entry which incites your immune system to attack all the squalene in your body, not just the vaccine adjuvant.

Your immune system will attempt to destroy the molecule wherever it finds it, including in places where it occurs naturally, and where it is vital to the health of your nervous system.[viii]

Gulf War veterans with Gulf War Syndrome (GWS) received anthrax vaccines which contained squalene.[ix] MF59 (the Novartis squalene adjuvant) was an unapproved ingredient in experimental anthrax vaccines and has since been linked to the devastating autoimmune diseases suffered by countless Gulf War vets.[x]

The Department of Defense made every attempt to deny that squalene was indeed an added contaminant in the anthrax vaccine administered to Persian Gulf war military personnel – deployed and non-deployed – as well as participants in the more recent Anthrax Vaccine Immunization Program (AVIP).

However, the FDA discovered the presence of squalene in certain lots of AVIP product. A test was developed to detect anti-squalene antibodies in GWS patients, and a clear link was established between the contaminated product and all the GWS sufferers who had been injected with the vaccine containing squalene.

A study conducted at Tulane Medical School and published in the February 2000 issue of Experimental Molecular Pathology included these stunning statistics:

“ … the substantial majority (95%) of overtly ill deployed GWS patients had antibodies to squalene. All (100%) GWS patients immunized for service in Desert Shield/Desert Storm who did not deploy, but had the same signs and symptoms as those who did deploy, had antibodies to squalene.

 In contrast, none (0%) of the deployed Persian Gulf veterans not showing signs and symptoms of GWS have antibodies to squalene. Neither patients with idiopathic autoimmune disease nor healthy controls had detectable serum antibodies to squalene. The majority of symptomatic GWS patients had serum antibodies to squalene.”[xi]

According to Dr. Viera Scheibner, Ph.D., a former principle research scientist for the government of Australia:

“… this adjuvant [squalene] contributed to the cascade of reactions called “Gulf War Syndrome,” documented in the soldiers involved in the Gulf War.

 The symptoms they developed included arthritis, fibromyalgia, lymphadenopathy, rashes, photosensitive rashes, malar rashes, chronic fatigue, chronic headaches, abnormal body hair loss, non-healing skin lesions, aphthous ulcers, dizziness, weakness, memory loss, seizures, mood changes, neuropsychiatric problems, anti-thyroid effects, anaemia, elevated ESR (erythrocyte sedimentation rate), systemic lupus erythematosus, multiple sclerosis, ALS (amyotrophic lateral sclerosis), Raynaud’s phenomenon, Sjorgren’s syndrome, chronic diarrhoea, night sweats and low-grade fevers.”[xii]

Post Vaccination Follow-Up Might as Well Be Non-Existent

 There is virtually no science to support the safety of vaccine injections on your long-term health or the health of your children. Follow-up studies last on average about two weeks, and look only for glaring injuries and illnesses.

Autoimmune disorders like those seen in Gulf War Syndrome frequently take years to diagnose due to the vagueness of early symptoms. Complaints like headaches, fatigue and chronic aches and pains are symptoms of many different illnesses and diseases.

Don’t hold your breath waiting for vaccine purveyors and proponents to look seriously at the long-term health consequences of their vaccination campaigns.

 A Teaspoon Of Turmeric A Day Can Help Keep Cancers at Bay. If you consume curry dishes regularly, give yourself a pat on the back (or tummy). You probably enjoy the spicy stuff because it’s delicious, but here’s another good reason to load curry sauce on your veggies: turmeric, the main ingredient in curry, is proving to have numerous health benefits. Ounce for ounce, few spices can compete with the health-promoting effects of turmeric. Commonly used in curry sauces in South Asian cuisine, this golden yellow spice is showing up with increasing frequency in medical journals all over the world as researchers identify the many health attributes of turmeric.

A teaspoon of turmeric a day helps keep cancers at bay. The good old grandmother’s practice of putting a pinch of turmeric to spice and spruce up curries has now proved to be also protecting the human body.
Turmeric has anti-cancer properties and is known to protect the body from developing cancers. Curcumin, the active ingredient in turmeric, has reportedly been able to work miracles in even reversing some cancers. Lots of studies in the world have shown that curcumin is a powerful anti-oxidant and can prevent cell damage that leads to cancers. Here’s the lowdown on some of the most promising research to date.

Cancer:

*Numerous studies have found that curcumin/turmeric suppresses the proliferation of cancer cells.

* In one recent study on hamsters with chemically induced tumors, subjects receiving topically applied and orally ingested curcumin/turmeric developed significantly less tumors than the control group. Researchers concluded that turmeric/curcumin may have a chemo preventive effect.

* Curcumin supplementation inhibited MANY carcinogenesis in mice in another study.

* Other research showed that curcumin/turmeric inhibited the growth of estrogen positive, human breast cancer cells. The researchers asserted that including these spices in the diet might help prevent hormone-related cancers resulting from environmental pesticide exposure.

*Other research shows promising results in treating prostrate cancer.

Rutgers researchers have found that the curry spice turmeric holds real potential for the treatment and prevention of prostate cancer, particularly when combined with certain vegetables.  Hello Fellow Budwigians!!!  Old news to many, but informative  to some newbies.

The scientists tested turmeric, also known as curcumin, along with phenethyl isothiocyanate (PEITC), a naturally occurring substance particularly abundant in a group of vegetables that includes watercress, cabbage, winter cress, broccoli, brussels sprouts, kale, cauliflower, kohlrabi and turnips. “The bottom line is that PEITC and curcumin, alone or in combination, demonstrate significant cancer-preventive qualities in laboratory mice, and the combination of PEITC and curcumin could be effective in treating established prostate cancers,” said Ah-Ng Tony Kong, a professor of pharmaceutics at Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey.

The discovery was announced in the Jan. 15 issue of the journal Cancer Research by Kong and his colleagues at Rutgers’ Ernest Mario School of Pharmacy.

Prostate cancer is the second leading cause of cancer death in men in the United States, with a half-million new cases appearing each year. The incidence and mortality of prostate cancer have not decreased in past decades despite tremendous efforts and resources devoted to treatment. This is because advanced prostate cancer cells are barely responsive even to high concentrations of chemotherapeutic agents or radiotherapy.

The authors noted that in contrast to the high incidence of prostate cancer in the United States, the incidence of this disease is very low in India. This has been attributed to the dietary consumption of large amounts of plant-based foods rich in phytochemicals – nonnutritive plant chemicals that have protective or disease-preventive properties.

There’s more than one theory on how curcumin/turmeric may protect against cancer. It may encourage apoptosis of cancer cells – in other words, getting the nasty cells to kill themselves off. Curcumin’s powerful antioxidant ability is also attributed with the compound’s anti-tumor activity. This makes sense, considering that antioxidants scavenge harmful free radicals that can lead to cancer-cell proliferation. If you would like to add turmeric to your diet via curry powders and sauces, be sure that turmeric appears on the list of ingredients. Many curry powders, sauces, and recipes use cumin, which is not to be confused with curcumin or turmeric.

If your like me and not into curry dishes, then mix a teaspoon in with something. The skies the limit. I personally mix my turmeric with my teaspoon of cayenne and down it in a bit of green tea to get it over with quickly. Then I eat a meal. I personally do this three times daily. It doesn’t phase me at all when I know how it phases cancer. I want this gone already!!! I’m looking for the day when I can soon talk about what I did in the past tense, hallelujah!

PS: To those of us on BW, it’s important NOT to take curcumin as it’s an antioxidant. Take turmeric only in it’s natural state. Organic preferred.

As many of you may know Cayenne Pepper has been prized for thousands of years for its healing power. Many herbalists believe that Cayenne is the single most useful and valuable herb in the herb kingdom, not only for the entire digestive system, but also for the heart and circulatory system. It acts as a catalyst and increases the effectiveness of other herbs when used with them. It is a very high source of Vitamins A and C, has the complete B complexes, and is very rich in organic calcium and potassium, which is one of the reasons it is good for the heart. Cayenne can rebuild the tissue in the stomach, and the peristaltic action in the intestines.  It aids elimination and assimilation, and helps the body to create hydrochloric acid, which is so necessary for good digestion and assimilation, especially of proteins. It has traditionally been used for overcoming fatigue and restoring stamina and vigor. It is a natural stimulant without the threatening side affects. The remarkable ability of capsicum, its powerful ingredient, to stimulate organ secretion and even heart action makes it one of the strongest natural stimulants known. 

        IT CAN ACTUALLY STOP A HEART ATTACK IN PROGRESS 

Cayenne is unequaled for it’s ability to boost circulation and increase heart action. If a heart attack should occur, after you call 911, mix a heaping teaspoon in some hot water and have them drink this every 15 minutes, assuming their conscious. If unconscious, put powder under the tongue and begin resuscitation immediately.  I’ve read reports back of the old days of doctors arriving, and the victims heart had ALREADY STOPPED BEATING, that they administered Cayenne tincture and some people were revived. Impressive.  I now carry Cayenne in my purse at all times. Seriously, I don’t leave home without it. Especially since my dad had a heart attack two years ago. He was actually dead for over 10 minutes. But it wasn’t his time yet.  His eyes rolled up and he fell out of his chair at a poker game table where two of the men there just so happened to be a paramedic and a fireman. Talk about being at the right place at the right time. He hadn’t been there for more than five minutes.  They kept the O2 going and blood circulation flowing until the ambulance arrived with the fibrillator. Today we are blessed to have my dad alive and well.

Cayenne also comes in handy in using it as a pain reliever on wounds. First,  capsicum is the active ingredient in pepper spray, better known as mace. So it hardly seems it would temporarily alleviate pain. How it works though is by affecting the neurotransmitters so pain signals can’t be sent. It also coagulates blood quickly. It can clot blood in as quick as 15 to 30 seconds. Pour it on, and know that the initial pain will be brief before it has time to affect the sensory nerves.

I had known about Cayenne for some time. However, when I read of  The American Association of Cancer Research documenting Cayenne as capable of destroying cancer cells, I almost fell out of my chair.  Something that they can’t patent being reported by them. Really impressive.  Now this beautiful bright red pepper is a known proven scientific catalyst to destroying cancer cells as well as stopping their growth. Yes, I’ll have some of that please. The higher the HU the more beneficial it is.

Good info here that everyone should know. Spread the word people, pass it along to your loved ones. It could very well save one of their lives some day, including yours.

UPDATE:  I had the extreme privilege of meeting the paramedic who saved my dads life after writing this cayenne post. My dad lives in Ohio and drove to my home in Nashville for the day to pick up my daughter for a vacation. This was on Thursday July 30, 2009. He brought his friend John with him just for company and to introduce us. I of course had been wanting to meet him and thank him. You couldn’t meet a nicer, more humble man.  Were it not for him, and one other man, my dad would be dead today. He told us my dad was out for closer to 20 minutes, which I had been told earlier ten minutes. He continued that in his entire career he had never seen anyone come back that had been dead for so long. WOW! Looks like the Lord is not done with my dad yet. Anyhow, I’m writing to tell you another important thing he said. He said that while conducting CPR, the #1 mistake peolpe make is not to compress the chest hard enough. John said he has cracked and broken many ribs reviving people over time. He’s retired now and one of my dads hunting buddies. I told my dad to always take John hunting with him from now on!

Indeed, my dad said the worst part of it was how sore he was afterwards because of how hard John had compressed his chest. Yeah, when your reviving someone, you have an incredible surge of strength.  Having revived my son myself on dozens of occasions, I know exactly how much adrenaline was flowing through Johns veins. You really can lift a car, at least you feel like you can. It’s totally overwhelming at first, but you just do what you were trained to do when it happens. After awhile it becomes a knee-jerk response. I always said, “Oh no you don’t, not on my shift!” But I was simply doing what I knew to do. I really had no choice as to whether my son Paul would live or not. I just did what I knew to do. It was Gods grace and mercy and faithfulness that pulled him through each time. I was simply an administering servant at the right place at the right time.

Finally, my stepmom has began using cayenne for her heart problems. Her heart is now much better and the doctor isn’t requiring her to come in as often now. Cool.

WATER BOTTLES CAUSE CANCER???

From Johns-Hopkins – Bottled water in your car is very dangerous!On the Ellen show, Sheryl Crow said this is what caused her breast cancer.  It has been identified as the most common cause of the high levels of dioxin in breast cancer tissue. Sheryl Crow’s oncologist told her:

Women should not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.  The heat reacts with the chemicals in the plastic of the bottle which releases dioxin into the water.  Dioxin is
a toxin increasingly found in breast cancer tissue.  So please be careful and do not drink bottled water that has been left in a car.  Pass this on to all the women in your life.  This information is the kind we need to know that just might save us!  Use a stainless steel canteen or a glass bottle instead of plastic!
 
LET EVERYONE WHO HAS A WIFE / GIRLFRIEND / DAUGHTER KNOW PLEASE!

No plastic containers in microwave.
No water bottles in freezer
No plastic wrap in microwave.
A dioxin chemical causes cancer, especially breast cancer.
Dioxins are highly poisonous to the cells of our bodies.

Don’t freeze your plastic bottles with water in them as this releases dioxins from the plastic.  Recently, Edward Fujimoto, Wellness Program Manager at Castle Hospital , was on a TV program to explain this health hazard.

He talked about dioxins and how bad they are for us.

He said that we should not be heating our food in the microwave using plastic containers….

This especially applies to foods that contain fat.  He said that the combination of fat, high heat,=2 0 and plastic releases dioxin into the food and ultimately into the cells of the body….

Instead, he recommends using glass, such as  Corning Ware, Pyrex or ceramic containers for heating food… You get the same results, only without the dioxin.  So such things as TV dinners, instant ramen and soups, etc., should be removed from the container and heated in something else.  Paper isn’t bad but you don’t know what is in the paper.  It’s just safer to use tempered glass, Corning Ware, etc.  He reminded us that a while ago some of the fast food restaurants moved away from the foam containers to paper.  The dioxin problem is one of the reasons…

Also, he pointed out that plastic wrap, such as Saran wrap, is just as dangerous when placed
over foods to be cooked in the microwave.  As the food is nuked, the high heat causes poisonous toxins to actually melt out of the plastic wrap and drip into the food.  Cover food with a paper towel instead.

CARE-TAKERS BEWARE!

I’d like to speak a word of wisdom to all of the care-takers out there. So often,  we are so busy and overwhelmed caring for a loved one, that we forget to take care of ourselves. Before you know it,  we’re sicker than the person we were tending to ever was. This is of course because stress slowly, insidiously, methodically takes its toll on our nerves which dramatically effects our health. It’s a well established fact in the medical community that stress in the #1 killer. It manifests  in an array of health conditions such as strokes, heart attacks, cancer, high blood pressure, hyper-tension, migraines, diverticulitis, fibromyalgia, unexplained sharp stabbing pains, etc.

That’s exactly what happened to me. My special needs son required 24-7 observation for many years. He would often stop breathing and have to be resuscitated, so we couldn’t take our eyes off of him. My knees would  always go weak, I would have major heart palpatations, and be sick to my stomach afterwards. I lost many nights of sleep from being tweaked from having such a fragile child. The stress was intense, and remember, I had already buried one of my triplets. We buried David, our only healthy one,  at two months of age to SIDS. Apparently he wasn’t so healthy after all. So I certainly didn’t want to loose Paul too.

You all remember the “fight or flight” that you learned about in school, well, that’s what we’re often experiencing. I would have  major releases of adrenalin and other hormones that cause your blood pressure to go up, your heart to beat faster, and your lungs to take in more air among other physiologic events. These are good hormones designed to help you in a life or death situation. But, when the stress occurs on a daily basis, or long term, these hormones that were meant to save your life begin to actually harm you. In long term stress the hormone cortisol rises. Elevated cortisol levels cause an imbalance of neurotransmitters in the brain, most notable serotonin and dopamine.  Before you know it, everything starts to get out of balance. Your nerves will begin to frey causing you to become edgy, sleep patterns become disrupted because all of your hormones are out of whack, tiredness and exhaustion set in often causing depression, overall anxiety and uneasiness develops, inability to focus, and a deep sense of hopelessness can cloud your entire outlook.

So as care-takers of our children or aging parents, what are we to do?  We have a loved one in our care that we love so much we would give our lives  for them. That’s the way most parents feel. But, unfortunately that could unintentionally be the exact outcome if we don’t learn to take care of ourselves along the way. If we die, then whose going to take care of our loved one? In my case, some wicked stepmom could quickly turn and see my child as a burden and not tend to his special needs and development.  As resentment set in, Paul would likely suffer neglect because he’s a lot of work. No thanks! I’m not going anywhere anytime soon. I’ll stay and fight. But to do so I must take much better care of ME or it’s not going to happen.

Visualize the stewardesses as they give their pre-flight instructions that everyone ignores. They instruct parents to take the oxygen mask first to be able to assist their child. In other words it’s of the uptmost importance to take care of ourselves so we can help those that are in need of help. If not, we all could be taken out prematurely. So you see, we have to learn to set time aside and take care of ourselves. I did not  and as a result have suffered much. I always  knew deep down I would pay for it down the road, which is exactly what I’m doing now with breast cancer. I now find myself forced into a position where my very life is at stake. So guess what? I will make myself get out some, and start to have fun again, while taking care of ME.

This will sound easier said then done for most. Well,  if your reading this then your crisis may have already arrived. It’s past time to take action now. You can find a way to have breaks from your situation when you set your mind to it. Call in some troups and go treat yourself to something. At the least, just get out of the house for awhile. Go to the gym which would be excellent for you, go to lunch with a friend, go to a movie by yourself, go to the mall. Go for a nice long walk and control your thoughts away from your pressures.  Observe nature, smell the fresh air, listen to the birds. Don’t be thinking about the ten thousand other things that you feel you should be tending to. TEND TO YOURSELF or no one else will. 

When you have your back up against the wall, it’s time to take serious action. Our very lives depend on it. Please reach out and ask for help. Otherwise, soon we’ll be the next ones lying in bed with some ugly disease. Seems unfair,  all the while we were just trying to help someone else. Our hearts were in the right place. But we must learn to prioritize ourselves as well. What will it benefit if we die in the process? Nothing! So remember to take care of yourselves too.  Or you might  find you’ll pay heavily with your own health.
